Sport Specific Giving


Sport specific gifts are a vital component to the successes of our programs, and in addition to gifts to the Owl Club Athletic Fund, provide necessary resources to support the holistic TRUE student – athlete experience for all 350 student-athletes. All contributions to sport specific funds are directed to the program of your designation in order to provide incremental support for special initiatives beyond the team's annual budget, as determined by the head coach, sports administrator, and director of athletics. Sport specific giving does not qualify for Owl Club Athletic Fund benefits.




 

Baseball

Gifts to the baseball program via the RBI Club will support the purchases of advanced technology for opponent scouting and recruitment, new branding at Reckling Park, and enhanced nutritional offerings for student-athletes. Supporters of the RBI Club at the $1,000 + level will receive exclusive access to RBI Club events and additional membership perks.


Men's Basketball

Gifts to the men’s basketball program via the Three Point Club will support continued investment into player development and recruitment. Supporters of the Three Point Club at the $500 + level and recent graduates of Rice (2016-2020) at the $100 + level will receive an invite to an exclusive pre-season event.

Gifts to the women’s basketball program via the Assist Club will support sports performance, team nutrition, and facility upgrades. Supporters of the Assist Club at the $1,000+ level will receive an invite to an exclusive pre-season event.

Gifts to the football program via the Extra Point Club will support continued investment into national recruiting efforts, quality control coaching positions, advanced video and technology, new weight room equipment and branding within the Brian Patterson Sports Performance Center.


Golf

Gifts to the golf program via the Birdie Club will support the development of a future dedicated team training space at Westwood Golf Club that will provide a first – class practice environment for the student-athletes.


Soccer

Gifts to the soccer program via the Goal Club will support future enhancements to the locker room and team room, in addition to, purchases of advanced technology for opponent scouting and player recruitment.

Men's Tennis

Gifts to the men’s tennis program via the Ace Club will support enhanced equipment needs, leadership and professional development initiatives for coaches, and facility improvements including a new storage unit for court equipment (driers, blowers, nets) at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.

Gifts to the men’s track and field program via the PR Club will support the costs associated with participating in national meets, summer school for student-athletes, and facility enhancements. Supporters of the PR Club at the $1,000 + level will receive exclusive access to the annual PR Club event.
